Many of the Leed (Leadership in Energy and Enviromental Design) certification process needs an engineers involvement to calculate the homes potential energy use. An LEED engineer is also neeeded for post construction review and documentation of how the building is actually performing as built. This is the ultimate area where a project's LEED credentials are verified.
