Hi,
My name is Eric and I am a Architect in Massachusetts.
The purpose of this Blog is to have discussion on LEED topics and the rating point system for projects to achieve LEED ratings.
What you need
26-32 points to get a Certified rating
33-38 points for the Silver rating
39-51 points for the Gold rating
52-69 points for the Platinum rating
69 possible points for Version 2.2
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) documented by the USGBC U.S. Green Building Council for New Construction and Major Renovations rating system.
The idea is to show real graphic examples of the text both in plan, section, and the most exciting 3d model images to illustrate concepts found in the rating system text document.
My goal is to share ideas as well as learn from others concepts in planning and design that have been proven successful in achieving LEED points for their projects.
The LEED process is involved and I welcome you to check out their web site for the most up to date information and guidelines for LEED accredited buildings and professionals and feature projects at http://www.usgbc.org/
I hope to keep the conversation going.
If you are new to LEED and the USGBC rules and guidelines then we share something in common. My goal is to take the LEED exam and become a LEED certified professional.
Eric
